Founded in 2024, Studio BESTIAL brings together two passionate and experienced creators, with over 15 years of combined expertise in 2D and 3D animation, as well as various other creative fields. The studio specializes in the production of animated films, animated series, illustrations, as well as the development of video games and board games, with a strong commitment to innovation and quality, while contributing to the international influence of Swiss animation.

Michael Rieder

Michael RIEDER

Born in 1985, Michael Rieder is a 2D animator and illustrator based in Geneva, creating personal and commissioned animations and illustrations, with an emphasis on originality, character and creative fun.


A graduate of the Visual Communication department at HEAD in Geneva in 2010, he continued his studies in animation at the WDKA in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, until 2012.

 

With his expertise in traditional animation, Michael specializes in traditional and digital 2D animation of dynamic and expressive characters.


He collaborates with various structures and clients to produce both personal and professional work, and he is available as a freelancer or for in-house missions.

Emilien Davaud

Emilien DAVAUD

Born in 1984, Emilien Davaud is a Geneva-based animated film director with a poetic, funny and terrifying universe.

A graduate of Supinfocom Arles (MOPA) in 2010, he has dual artistic and technical skills. He has the ability to take charge of the partial or total production of an audiovisual work using 2D and 3D computer-generated image techniques, either by taking charge of the entire production or by supervising a production team.

 

He specializes in non-photorealistic 3D rendering, as well as the hybridization of traditional and digital animation techniques.

Alongside his work in animated cinema, he also takes part in several illustration projects.
